Please join me in wishing Mom a happy birthday today!! Thank you for those who faithfully check back on the blog. Sorry that we have not posted anything recently. We praise God for bringing Dad back (after 7 weeks in Asia) safely on Thanksgiving Day. And I especially want to say a special thanks to all the ladies who have stepped in to help support Mom on the weekends, when Dad was away. We were able to celebrate Thanksgiving together as a family along with my Aunt Ceci. And we took Mom out to Dim Sum this past weekend to celebrate her birthday.
Mom has a great appetite. She is still faithfully walking around the park twice a day for exercise. And she attends a weekly woman's Bible Study every Tuesday. Thanks to Yuen-Yee's cooking & care, she is well looked-after. (Thank you also for all our weekend drivers who take Yuen-Yee home on Fridays & back to us on Sundays. If there is anyone who is willing to help once in a while in giving her a ride to & from Union City over the Dumbarton Bridge, please let us know! We would greatly appreciate the help & it would also give the current drivers a break once in a while.)
Mom is on several medications for her thyroid condition & her blood platelet problem and so far things are stable & there are no major concerns. She continues to need high salt intake in her diet & will need to drink plenty of fluids. She will be seeing one of Stanford's neuro-oncologist next week for follow-up on her tumor. She is due for an MRI to monitor her brain tumor. And we hope that with all the doctors & a primary care physician in place, the Stanford team of doctors would be able to care for her full physical health more comprehensively. Please continue to pray for her chronic headaches & her gradual hearing loss. She will be seeing a specialist regarding her hearing in January.
We appreciate your faithful prayer support for our family. May God shower His blessings on you this Christmas season.
